Ingredients
- 3 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips for dipping
Directions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, coconut extract, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
Whip Egg Whites: In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks form.
Combine Ingredients: Gently fold the egg whites into the coconut mixture until evenly combined.
Scoop Macaroons: Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to drop mounds of mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
