Pour the flavored milk over the espresso, creating a layered, creamy latte. Top with whipped cream for extra indulgence. This simple, homemade version is fully customizable for sweetness and milk preference, delivering the signature nutty flavor without leaving your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1 shot (1 oz) espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1–1.5 tsp Hazelnut Flavoring / Extract
- 1–2 tbsp simple syrup or sugar (adjust to taste)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Directions
- Brew the Coffee Prepare 1 shot of espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee. Pour into a large mug.
Heat and Froth Milk Heat 1 cup milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm.
- Froth the milk using a whisk, hand frother, or French press until light and creamy.
Add Flavoring and Sweetener Stir 1–1.5 tsp Hazelnut Extract and 1–2 tbsp simple syrup (or sugar) into the warm milk. Adjust sweetness to taste.
