    blank

    • ¾ cup softened butter (1½ sticks)

    • 1 cup packed light brown sugar

    • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

    • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

    blank

    • 2 cups powdered sugar

    • Splash of milk or vanilla extract for desired consistency

    Directions

    1. Preheat & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan and set aside.

    2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder until evenly combined.

    3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, melted butter, and cinnamon flavor extract for deep cinnamon flavor.

    4. Combine: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined—overmixing can lead to toughness.

    5. Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: In a separate bowl, mix together softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and ground cinnamon until smooth and fluffy.

    6. Layer & Swirl: Pour half the cake batter into the prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter, then use a knife to gently swirl. Add the rest of the batter and swirl again for a beautiful marble effect.

    7. Bake: Bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.

    8. Glaze (Optional): Combine powdered sugar with a splash of milk or vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm cake for a sweet finish.

    9. Serve: Allow to cool slightly before slicing into 12 squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
