Using natural red food coloring in your recipe
This beetroot-based red food coloring is water-soluble. Use it in water-based mixtures such as drinks, syrups, icings and batters. For plain melted chocolate or oil-based recipes, choose a colorant formulated for that application rather than treating water-soluble and oil-soluble colors as interchangeable.
Test a small batch using the product directions and evaluate the finished shade after mixing, cooking and cooling as appropriate. Your recipe’s base color and preparation method affect the result, so test in the actual recipe before scaling up.
