How to Use Almond Extract
Our general starting range for flavorings is 0.3–0.6% of the unflavored batch weight, with product-specific directions taking precedence. For a 500 g unflavored recipe, that is 1.5–3 g of flavoring. Begin at the lower end, mix thoroughly and evaluate the finished recipe before adjusting. Use a scale for repeatable batches and test again when scaling production.
Choose an Almond Extract Size
Available in 2 oz, 8 oz, 32 oz, 1 gallon and 5 gallons. Choose a small bottle for recipe trials or a larger size once you have established your recipe and usage rate.

Calculate flavor weight from the unflavored batch: 1,000 g of mixture gets 3–6 g of flavor. For hard candy, use the cooked mixture’s weight before adding flavor. Choose the flavor formula suited to your application and test a small batch first.
