    • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

    • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted

    • 1–2 tbsp milk or heavy cream

    • ½ tsp natural grape extract

    • ½–1 tsp Natural Purple Food Coloring – Water Soluble Extract

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.

    2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

    3. In a separate large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.

    4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla and grape extract.

    5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

    6. Add the Natural Purple Food Coloring – Water Soluble Extract and stir until the batter reaches a rich, vibrant purple hue.

    7. Divide the batter evenly among the liners and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

    8. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.

    9. To make the frosting, beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar. Mix in milk, grape extract, and Natural Purple Food Coloring – Water Soluble Extract until smooth and fluffy.

    10. Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate as desired.
