Oil Soluble Peppermint Flavoring

This Peppermint Chocolate Bark recipe is a festive and refreshing treat that combines smooth dark chocolate and creamy white chocolate infused with Oil Soluble Peppermint Flavoring. It’s perfect for holiday gifting, dessert platters, or a simple after-dinner sweet. The peppermint extract gives the chocolate layers a cool, crisp flavor without seizing or separating the chocolate—thanks to its oil-soluble nature. With minimal effort, you’ll create a professional-looking peppermint bark that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225 g) dark chocolate (high-quality, chopped or chips)
  • 8 oz (225 g) white chocolate (high-quality, chopped or chips)
  • ½ teaspoon Oil Soluble Peppermint Flavoring
  • ¼ cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes (optional for topping)
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat

Directions

  1. Prepare the tray: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

  2. Melt the dark chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  3. Add flavoring: Stir in ¼ teaspoon of Oil Soluble Peppermint Flavoring to the melted dark chocolate. Mix well.

  4. Spread the base layer: Pour the dark chocolate onto the prepared tray and spread evenly with a spatula. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to partially set.

  5. Melt the white chocolate: In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate using the same method. Add the remaining ¼ teaspoon of Oil Soluble Peppermint Flavoring and stir until smooth.

  6. Layer and swirl: Pour the melted white chocolate over the set dark chocolate layer. Use a knife or spatula to gently swirl for a marbled effect.

  7. Add toppings: Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies or candy canes on top while the chocolate is still soft.

  8. Chill and break: Refrigerate for 30–45 minutes or until completely firm. Once set, break into pieces and enjoy.
