About the image: AI-generated serving inspiration, not a photograph of a kitchen-tested result. Pandan leaf and fresh coconut are flavor cues, not additional recipe ingredients.

Pandan and coconut make a fragrant cold drink without coffee or tea. This two-glass recipe uses a measured amount of water-soluble pandan flavor in a coconut-milk base, so you can compare aroma and sweetness before committing it to a café menu.

Use this product: Dolce Flav Pandan Extract, water-soluble formula #155. It contains propylene glycol and natural and artificial flavors, with no added colors. Choose it for flavor; it will not turn this drink green.

Development recipe: not kitchen-tested. Use 0.3–0.6% of the unflavored batch weight, added on top. Start with a small trial before scaling.

Iced pandan coconut milk for two

Time: about 5 minutes with cooled syrup ready. Yield: two drinks, about 251 g liquid each at the 2.5 g example dose, before serving ice.

Equipment: bowl or jug, whisk, two glasses and a scale suitable for small gram amounts.

Ingredient Amount
Unsweetened canned coconut milk, stirred smooth 220 g
Cold whole milk 240 g
Plain 1:1-by-weight simple syrup, cooled 40 g
Dolce Flav Pandan Extract #155 1.5–3 g; 2.5 g example dose
Ice For serving; excluded from the 500 g liquid base

To make the 40 g syrup: stir 20 g sugar into 20 g warm drinking water until dissolved, then cool. Avoid boiling away water. Weigh out 40 g of the finished, cooled syrup for this recipe.

  1. Stir the measured pandan extract into the cooled syrup. Use the lower end for your first comparison batch.
  2. Whisk the canned coconut milk until its separated cream and liquid are smooth. Weigh 220 g into your jug.
  3. Add the whole milk and flavored syrup. Whisk thoroughly until combined.
  4. Divide between two ice-filled glasses and stir. Taste the finished drink cold; whisk again if the coconut milk separates. Serve promptly and keep the milk ingredients refrigerated.

Measure the full drink base, not the syrup alone

The base is 220 g coconut milk + 240 g whole milk + 40 g syrup = 500 g before flavor. Use 0.3–0.6% of the unflavored batch weight, added on top: 500 × 0.003–0.006 = 1.5–3 g extract. At the 2.5 g example dose, the flavored liquid weighs 502.5 g. Serving ice is outside this calculation; melting ice will dilute the drink.

Approximate spoon option: about ½ metric teaspoon (2.5 mL). Using the published generic specific-gravity range of 1.03–1.06 at 25°C as an approximate g/mL conversion, that is roughly 2.58–2.65 g. It is within this trial range but is not the exact 2.5 g example dose or a lot-verified conversion. Grams remain the reference; use a marked 5 mL measuring teaspoon.

Extract, pandan paste and leaf juice are different ingredients

This formula contributes concentrated flavor, not the liquid volume, solids or color of pandan leaf juice or a colored pandan paste. Do not exchange them spoon-for-spoon. Keep the coconut milk, milk and syrup quantities in this trial unless you are deliberately developing a different base.

Likewise, canned coconut milk and a thin carton coconut beverage can produce different body. Use the specified canned ingredient for the first trial. A dairy-free version needs a separate texture and flavor test; the recipe above contains whole milk.

Allergen check: milk and coconut are ingredients. Check individual allergy requirements, ingredient labels and the exact flavor documentation before serving.

Choosing a size for repeat drinks

For a 2,500 g unflavored liquid base, the same development range is 7.5–15 g extract, with a 12.5 g example dose. Evaluate the actual serving ice, cold flavor balance and any separation before treating that arithmetic as a menu formula. No storage life or bottled-drink stability is established by this recipe.

Choose Pandan Extract for a small drink trial. If you are planning regular café service or commercial batches, ask about bulk pandan flavor with formula #155, your base ingredients, batch size, monthly volume and process. Confirm current pricing, availability and required product documents for the chosen size.
